Polygraph

Polygraph is a metalcore band from Québec, Canada, blending melodic riffs with heavy, hard-hitting breakdowns. Their dual-vocal dynamic combines energetic, high-pitched screams with deep, earthy growls, striking a balance between raw aggression and emotional depth. Drawing inspiration from 2010s metalcore icons such as Bring Me The Horizon and Motionless in White, Polygraph fuses nostalgic heaviness with a modern, cinematic edge that perfectly reflects the current evolution of metalcore. Since their debut in 2021 with their first single Impress Me, Polygraph has quickly stood out, winning “Band of the Year” from the GMPQ podcast. Their first full-length album, The Process (2023), expanded their fanbase far beyond their local scene. In 2024, they took first place in the Road to Wacken Québec competition, and their music subsequently reached international radio audiences in England, Mexico, and Australia. In October 2025, Polygraph released their latest EP, Nightbloom, a darker and more cinematic evolution of their sound. As noted by MetalUniverse, it is “a heavier and more cinematic version of metalcore, while remaining true to its roots.” Their single Aconite was praised as “a toxic dose, musically powerful”, while Twenty-Six continues this exploration of emotion and atmosphere, blending vulnerability with intensity. With Nightbloom, Polygraph solidifies its place within the new wave of modern metalcore, pushing boundaries while staying true to the essence that started it all.
