AARSEN
SEPTEMBER'S ARTIST OF THE MONTH

Aarsen is an emo-punk band known for their catchy melodies and their energetic
live shows. Since 2008, the Gatineau/Ottawa band has been rocking out in Eastern Canada, playing big outdoors festivals like the Montebello Rockfest and opening for international acts such as Ignite, CKY, Eyes Set To Kill, He Is Legend, Mass Hysteria, Defeater and for some Québec legends such as Grimskunk, The Sainte Catherines, Mononc’ Serge & Anonymus, Ska Sound System and Mute.
In 2019, the band got, for the first time, a single (Voices) playing regularly on commercial radio.
Aarsen has recorded 4 E.P.s in the past and is now launching, song-by-song, their brand new E.P. entitled Hourglass.
Media Coverage: The band was named “One of the best cultural events of 2023”, by Le Droit newspaper and also had a big feature about the release of our Hourglass EP in it. In 2016, Aarsen got extensive media coverage through TV such as live interviews during the 6 p.m. news broadcast on Radio-Canada, Radio-Canada’s summer TV show “Tout inclus”, CBC, R-C and Cogeco radio show interviews, and in the written press with band profiles in Le Droit newspaper, and stellar reviews in New Transcendence, Canadian Beats, Ottawa Beat, etc.
