Adding a booking agent

A booking agent is an external Hedliner user (typically a professional producer/buyer) who handles booking on your behalf. Unlike a manager, an agent gets exactly the permissions you grant them — no more.

Linking is a verified two-step

Either side can initiate. The other side has to confirm before anything is active. Either side can revoke at any time, and the other party is emailed.

Inviting an agent

  1. Go to /dashboard/venue/agents.
  2. Search for the agent by name in the autocomplete.
  3. Select them and choose an initial permission bundle (or view only).
  4. They get an email + in-app notification. Once they confirm, the link is active.

Granting permissions

Click Permissions next to the agent's row to open the editor. Available scopes for venue agents:

  • manage_slots — create, edit, cancel slots
  • manage_applications — accept/decline/counter band applications
  • manage_offers — send offers to bands
  • manage_bookings — confirm or cancel bookings
  • manage_messages — message bands
  • view_finance — see slot costs, revenue, and the booking history page (sensitive)

Without view_finance, an agent acting on your venue dashboard won't see cost cards, the Booking History link, or any revenue figures.

How the agent sees your venue

When they switch to your venue from their roster, they see your normal dashboard with an Acting as agent banner across the top. Anything outside their granted scope is hidden or disabled.

Removing the agent

Click Remove next to their name. Access ends immediately and both sides get an email.
