Getting started as a venue
Setup takes 5–15 minutes. By the end you'll have a published venue profile, posted at least one open slot, and be ready to receive applications.
1. Create an account
- Sign up at /register.
- Pick Venue as your role.
- You'll be routed into venue onboarding.
2. Create your venue profile
Required fields:
- Venue name
- City + state/province
- Capacity
- At least one stage / room
Strongly recommended: full address, website URL, photos, the genres you regularly book, and a short description of what kind of acts work best in your space.
Profiles start as draft. While draft, you don't appear in the band browse view and your slots don't accept applications. Hit Publish when you're ready to go live.
3. Set open-slot defaults
From /dashboard/venue/edit, set defaults you'll reuse for most shows: typical doors time, set length, sound engineer cost, etc. The Open slot modal pre-fills these so you can post a new slot in 10 seconds.
4. Post your first slot
From the venue dashboard click Open slot. Pick a date, edit the times/cost if needed, and publish. See Posting & managing slots for the full reference.
5. (Optional) Connect Clover for revenue sync
If your bar runs on Clover, you can connect it to automatically pull post-show revenue into Hedliner so you can track profitability per show. Set this up under /dashboard/venue/edit → Integrations. Revenue data is sensitive — agents need the view_finance scope to see it.
