Applying to venues
Hedliner lets bands send applications directly to open venue slots, and respond to offers that venues send to you.
Find open slots
- Go to
/band-dashboard/browse. - Filter by city, date range, or genre. Slots marked open are accepting applications.
- Click a slot to see the full details: venue, set times, cost (if any), and notes.
Send an application
From a slot detail page click Apply. You'll be asked for:
- A short message to the venue (think: pitch).
- Optionally, a proposed cost if you want to negotiate the guarantee. Leave blank to accept the venue's posted cost.
- Optionally, attach a stage plot.
Applications sit in /band-dashboard/applications. You'll get an email when the venue accepts or declines.
Responding to a venue offer
Sometimes venues will reach out directly with an offer instead of waiting for an application. Offers appear in /band-dashboard/offers. You can:
- Accept — confirms the booking.
- Counter — propose a different fee or date and send it back.
- Decline — politely says no; the venue is notified.
Messaging the venue
Every application has its own message thread. Open the application from /band-dashboard/applications and use the messages card to talk to the venue. Both sides get an email on new messages.
After the show
Completed shows automatically populate your past-shows history at /band-dashboard/past-shows. You can also claim past shows that pre-date your account.
